I honestly find you disgusting if you believe that the only way for a woman to express herself “correctly” -and I use that term only to summarize your opinion that women have a responsibility to combat sexism- is by taking offense and making clear that something shouldn’t be said to them.
A woman has every right to say WHATEVER the hell she wants to when she’s been insulted. Period.
Doesn’t matter if it’s to an activist or to a store clerk. I’m amazed that you were offended by his comment, and THEN offended with my polite response. I have the fucking right to be polite. I don’t have to say, “I’m offended.” That is the fucking exercise of my right as a woman to choose what I think, feel, and say.
